Transform Your Childcare Marketing
Marketing might possibly be the most important thing you do for your business.
Does marketing your center feel like a daunting task? You know how important it is, but you have no idea how to start tackling it. You feel you need to take what you are doing to the next level, but you aren’t sure how to navigate all the avenues you can go down. Your center is 90% full, you have a lot of word of mouth referrals, but how can you take that 90% and make it 100%?
Figuring out the right ways to marketing your center can be incredibly overwhelming and oftentimes we can get so focused on one specific portion of marketing that we forget to look at the bigger picture. Don’t worry, the vision you have today can lead to the perfect strategy to reinvent your marketing in the future.
Ask yourself these questions:
- Who’s your target market?
- How do you get your message to that target market?
- What marketing strategies can you put into place today that will have the biggest impact on your business long term?
To get started, there is often one small thing you can do that will change how you do your marketing for your center that will ease the overwhelming feeling and allow you to reinvent your marketing. As a child care marketing expert, I believe 100% to start small and then ease into your entire strategy.
When you learn to identify a few key components of your marketing strategy within your business that will give you the most impact, these will allow you to continue to build upon these concepts each year and give you a way to market your center and fill it to capacity.
Figure out who you are as a company and what your brand says about you.
- Who are you as a center (What is your story?)
- What does your marketing say about you?
- Do your potential families see you as a professional, high-quality child care center?
Create these with your leadership team and really define who you want to be! Everything else you do will be built upon this foundation.
For example, if you have pillars you build your business upon, how are you communicating those pillars, using them in your programs, and communicating them to gain new enrollments and credibility in your community?
When this step is done, step one is complete!
