Hey there, fellow freedom-loving friends in early childhood education! Grab your coffee (or a squeaky toy), because we’re rolling out the red, white, and blue carpet for the official mascot who’s about to turn your centers into full-on patriotic playgrounds filled with giggles and goosebumps.

The happy, huggable, star-spangled cartoon Boxer who’s here to guard giggles, spread joy, and remind us all that the New Golden Age of Early Learning is going to be the biggest, brightest 250th birthday party this country has ever thrown!
Just look at this guy! Shiny brindle coat, big bright eyes full of mischief, tongue-out happy grin, and that classic American flag bandana flapping like it’s leading a parade. He’s sitting tall and proud, tail ready to wag at full speed, bursting with energy and ready for big adventures and even bigger belly rubs!
Benji F’s Super Fun (and Totally True) Origin Story: The Gunny Connection!
In the sunny heart of America (well… Florida, close enough), a real-life brindle Boxer legend named Mr. Gunny: aka Gunny Houdini, Chief Barking Officer, and “The Greatest of All Times”; was already stealing hearts at Child Care Biz Help.
Gunny was no ordinary pup. He was a battle-tested, PTSD-healing, client-greeting, silent-but-deadly-farting, pontoon-boat-loving superstar who helped Dan Jens (US Army combat veteran) through some of the toughest years. He survived crazy health battles, adapted like a boss when he went mostly blind, and still showed up to every meeting with maximum tail wags and unconditional love.
Gunny was the original mascot; the one who made clients laugh, kept the team grounded, and proved that strength + silliness = pure magic.
When it came time to celebrate America’s 250th and launch the Freedom Core Early Learning Initiative, we knew we needed his spirit to live on bigger and bolder than ever. So… Benji F was born: the cartoon version of Gunny’s joyful, loyal, freedom-loving soul, now decked out in full patriotic glory!
Benji F carries Gunny’s waggiest tail, biggest heart, and that unbreakable Boxer spirit right into your classrooms, storybooks, murals, songs, and silly videos. His mission? Shout it loud: “Freedom is the BEST game ever, and it starts with big hugs, kind hearts, and learning that feels like the most fun playtime on earth!”
He’s dashing across the country (in cartoon form, of course) to help us kick off America’s huge 250th birthday bash in 2026; because while the whole nation celebrates 250 years of freedom, the next 250 years start right here in your childcare centers with happy songs, creative play, strong bodies, and bright minds growing under God’s blessings.
